On November 8th, 2014 I had the experience of a lifetime. Truly my wildest dream come true. Oprah was in Seattle for a 2 day event called ‘The Life You Want’. There were 10,000 people in Key Arena on that day of inspiration and magic.
I was contacted days earlier by a member of her production team and interviewed about a Deeper Cravings Twitter post/picture that I had put up. Based on that conversation and my broader Deeper Cravings story I was asked to meet Oprah, my most beloved teacher, on stage and share a little piece of my story with her and a crowd of 10000.
What felt particularly significant about this moment was that I had the opportunity to remind all those women about their right to be free in their body, to remind them all that their weight does not determine their worth. This was a pivotal moment in my own personal Deeper Cravings journey, little did I know that my story of more fully releasing shame was only just about to begin.
